MILO is a different type of fitness center. We like to call it our Performance Playground because the MILO coaches are all about improving the way athletes move, and they absolutely love playing!

MILO has been a part of the Del Mar Golf Center since 2014. As a 100% outdoor fitness center, MILO brings a unique dynamic to the golf center. First, the athletes attending The Academy at Del Mar Golf Center, do not have to go anywhere to receive top-flight physical fitness and athletic instruction. The same holds true for the golf professional. Many teaching professionals know that there are movements they want their students to make, during the golf swing, that the student is physically unable to perform. It is commonplace to see our teaching professionals talking fitness with members of the Milo staff during their teaching time.

Did we mention that the center is outdoors?

Folks get into a different mindset when they are outside. You feel the breeze. You see the swaying palm trees. You hear the chirping birds. There is energy outside! Plus the majority of sports are played outside! Play outside, so train outside! Nothing like putting a few plates on the bar, coming up from a squat and seeing the full moon!

The MILO customers love it because they all get individualized attention. Her shoulder is jacked up. She had twins three months ago and was on bed rest for her last trimester. His knees have been bothering him since that Spartan Race. And he wants to gain back the muscle that cancer took from him.

Frankly, the amount of big and small box gyms and clubs that cater to increasing member numbers instead of increasing member results, has created a distrust between the public and our industry that is often difficult to overcome.

We set out to rebuild that trust.

MILO's coaches actually care about the gainz - that's what the young hip folks call improvent these days - of our athletes.
